About Alison Freeman

Knack Marketing’s Principles

Translating effective marketing strategies to the small business market presents its own challenges. Knack Marketing was established to help you overcome some of the common problems and to succeed in business.

“I don’t have time for marketing, there’s too many other things I need to be doing.”

Marketing Strategy has to be honed so that you are doing only what is necessary.  Nothing more, nothing less.  If it’s not fulfilling your business goals don’t do it.  Your number one focus needs to be your core business and your marketing efforts should support that.

“I’ll just off shore it.  It’s the cheapest way.”

Yes, offshoring and packaging is the cheapest way. In the short term.  Long term it’s likely you will be paying more than you expected in time management cost, fixing up dodgy practices and removing penalties.

“I’ll just sign up for a package.”

Some packages are ok, but don’t sign up for templated packages, your business needs are specific to you and your marketing tactics need to be developed specifically for you.

“I can’t afford it, but then again, I can’t afford not to.”

Many small businesses can not afford a full time marketing resource.  The best way to overcome this issue is to empower your business through training.  That way you can keep your marketing efforts on track at no additional cost.

“My business is too small, I need to grow it before engaging a marketing consultant.”

Knack Marketing specialises in SMEs, especially those just starting their journey or those in the process of expanding.  Marketing is all about solving problems, and the best time to do that is when they first arise.  Early engagement will save you a lot of time and effort.
